My husband and I dropped in for lunch the other weekend and the food was some of the best I've had for a long time. The Lemon Sole was so fresh, beautifully cooked and served with proper saute potatoes (not the usual deep fried ones). The Scallops were large, juicy, not overcooked and with a lovely, but not overpowering sauce. The squid was exquisite. Basically we just can't praise it enough and will be returning lots and lots in the future. Well done to everyone and especially to the landlady who was friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough. A lovely meal in a lovely atmosphere - visit it if you have a chance, you definitely won't regret it.

The Elm Tree is situated in the stunning village of Langton Herring about 3.5miles west of Weymouth. We (the family) rented a lovely cottage just 10 minutes walk from the pub, so it was natural that it became our 'local' for the week.
